New to concert band? Picking up a new instrument? Or just looking for another way to make music at USC? The University Band is a spring-only concert-stage ensemble created to expand access to music-making across campus. Open to students of all experience levels, the ensemble focuses on instrumental fundamentals, ensemble skills, and musicianship through engaging concert literature in a supportive environment. This ensemble is perfect for students who want to continue developing their instrumental skills, refine ensemble performance, or stay active musically during the spring semester. The band meets Tuesdays from 4:00–5:45 p.m. in the Band Pavilion and performs one joint concert with the USC Concert Band each spring. 

The University Band is under the direction of Mr. Dontay Douglas, with Mr. Samuel Perez III serving as assistant conductor.
