Giancarlo Ceja

Giancarlo Ceja, 2023 Clarinets section leader

Hello!

My name is Giancarlo Ceja, a senior and 4th-year band member majoring in Environmental Studies and International Relations, with a minor in Web Technologies and Applications. My passion and work at USC revolve around environmental policy, particularly as it involves themes of environmental justice. This is with a career goal of being an environmental policymaker at the international level!

I chose to come to USC for academics and its proximity from home, but since I was a drum major and section leader in high school, I was eager to join a college marching band. Beginning band camp, and seeing the energy, excitement, and opportunity within the band, I knew that this is something that I would want to be a part of! My favorite band memories have been the 2021 trip to Chicago, and performing at the Kid’s Choice Awards!

Matt Stickels, 2023 Clarinet section leader

Matt is a junior in band and a senior in school, majoring in Chemistry. He joined the TMB because he loved doing marching band in high school and wanted to continue doing it in college. His favorite memory with the TMB was “drumline cadence on da plates in Chicago (if you know you know)”.
