Daphne Carbajal
Helloo! My name is Dafne Carbajal and I am a soon-to-be-graduate (yay, class of 2025!) studying Psychology with a minor in Natural Sciences on the pre-medical track. I’m originally from Phoenix, Arizona, but will be spending my gap year here in LA. I love meeting new people despite being on the shyer side, and some of my favorite hobbies include reading, playing tennis, hanging out with friends, being outdoors, and binge watching shows/anime.
I chose USC because I wanted to be close to home, but also wanted to explore a completely different environment bursting with culture and diversity. That being said, USC only began to feel like home when I joined the TMB my sophomore year. I had mainly joined because I loved marching band in high school, but the amount of energy, spirit, and love this community has is what has me coming back after graduation. The TMB gave me a second home, and the friends I made here have completely changed my college experience for the better :,)
I have so many good memories with the band, but my favorite definitely has to be exploring Chicago for the first time with the flutes!
Pallavi Sharma
Hi! My name is Pallavi, and I’m getting my degree in Astronautical Engineering! I’ll be graduating this May and starting my fourth year in the TMB.
I chose USC for its engineering school and because I wanted to experience life in LA. I joined the band because I’ve been a band kid since middle school and after hearing that the TMB is Hollywood’s band I knew I had to take up the opportunity.
Some of my favorite memories with the band have been travelling to Catalina Island for the 4th of July, exploring Chicago with the flutes during the trip to Notre Dame, and doing a flute-wide secret santa at my sophomore year bandquet.
In my free time, I love to hit the gym, hang out with my friends, party, play video games, and watch movies! The TMB has been a great place for me to find my people and I’ve loved every minute I spend in this organization. Fight on!
