Where is the sun, band?! Oh, it’s just the stage lights. The concert band is a spring-only program that meets once a week to learn and perform a variety of concert-style literature, such as The Planets by Gustav Holst or Vesuvius by Frank Ticheli. The band is open to all students, regardless of participation in the fall marching band or spring basketball band. It is composed of undergraduate and graduate students from various academic disciplines, and may include both music majors and non-music majors. The band provides an opportunity for students to enhance their musical abilities, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and engage in artistic expression in a traditional, sit-down environment.

The band is under the direction of Dr. Jacob Vogel and meets every Wednesday from 7-10 pm in the band pavilion.
