Basketball Band

The Spirit of Troy Basketball Band is one of the great displays of spirit outside of just football. The Basketball Band is a smaller pep-style band comprised of a portion of the marching band that performs at all men’s and women’s home basketball games during the spring. With roughly 50 members present at each game, this band brings energy and music to the court to electrify the team. They play a variety of tunes from school songs to rock charts to old classics and instrumentation features, flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, drumset, drumline, and bass guitar. 

Not only does this band get to play at home basketball games, but they also have the ability to travel on behalf of the team/athletics department to conference tournaments and NCAA tournaments all over the country. It’s a great way to support the team while having a good time with friends and enjoying some good Trojan basketball. 

The Spirit of Troy Basketball Band is under the direction of Dontay Douglas and rehearses Tuesdays in the spring from 4-7PM in the band pavilion.
