Jovany Robles

Hi! My name is Jovany but I go by Gio and I’m from small town Piru here in SoCal! I’m a rising Senior in Dornsife studying Human Biology with a minor in Health Care Studies on the Pre-PA 🩺 track and will be starting my 4th year in the TMB in the Fall ‘26 season.

Fun fact about me, I chose USC to be a part of the greatest marching band in the history of the universe (EVER)!! Music has been a big part of my life since elementary when I actually first played clarinet then later switched to flute! Here at USC, I wanted to continue playing music in Hollywood’s Band and explore LA’s community and culture. You can often find me at the gym, soaking up sun at the beach, or on Fortnite.

One of my favorite memories in the band is getting to explore Chicago when we traveled to Notre Dame to face off against the Fighting Irish! Band, I’m absolutely geeked for the Fall ‘26 season! See you then!

Ellie Wong

Good morning, good afternoon, or good night! My name is Ellie, and I’m a rising junior—both in band and in school—currently pursuing a BFA in Animation at the School of Cinematic Arts. I came all the way across the Pacific Ocean from Beijing, China, and I’ve been excited ever since to work toward a career as a filmmaker in the land of Hollywood.

Speaking of Hollywood 👀—I just so happened to join the Spirit of Troy, aka Hollywood’s Band! Through this band, I’ve gained so much more than I ever expected—not only the opportunity to perform for thousands of people and to be able to continue my musical journey, but I also gain friendships and guidance from a community that helped me overcome the challenges of studying abroad in a completely new country.

I’ve made so many incredible memories with this band that I’ll cherish forever. I can’t wait to create many more in 2026 as the flute section’s section leader. Thank you, and Fight On!
