Ryan Barajas

Hey everyone!! My name is Ryan and I am a junior in band and a junior in band. I am also one of the section leaders and am studying Political Science with a minor in Psychology and Law. I want to go to law school and practice law for a record label after I graduate from USC since I am deeply interested in the music industry along with music itself. I wanted to join the TMB ever since I was in elementary school when I went to a USC Football game and witnessed them perform. I remember falling in love with the wall of sound that the TMB projected and wanted to be a part of it ever since. In fourth grade I picked up the clarinet and have been playing it ever since. When I got accepted into USC and attended the orientation, it was the ENERGY and SPIRIT that cemented my decision to play clarinet for the TMB and I have spent the last 3 years enjoying every single moment in the band.

I can’t wait to meet you all!! This season will be so much fun and I can’t wait to run into the Coliseum with all of you! Fight On!!

Gina Extavour

Hello everyone! My name is Gina, and I am one of the clarinet section leaders. I’m a third-year student pursuing a major in Creative Writing and a minor in Linguistics. I’m currently a freelance poet, but I hope to someday be a linguist and published author, traveling the world and documenting endangered languages. The music program at my high school was really big, and I was a huge marching band nerd. So when I was deciding where I wanted to go for college, I only had one thing on my college checklist: “Must have a marching band”. During my first day of band camp at USC, when the band performed for all the freshmen, the energy, passion, and immense school spirit in that room was undeniable. I instantly knew that I’d found my crowd. Moving 3,000 miles away from home as a teenager was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done, but the TMB family made it all worth it. The support that I found and the friendships I’ve made are something that I’ll hold close to my heart forever.

If you have any questions, you can find us at tmbclarinets@gmail.com or on Instagram @tmbclarinets. FIGHT ON!
